​bonob® bikes are made to handle real-life riding – rain, mud, puddles, and all. We use stainless steel for all fasteners and the disc rotor, and anodized aluminum for protection against corrosion. Instead of regular bearings that rust and require constant maintenance, we chose high-grade plain bearings with Teflon coating for smooth, maintenance-free performance. Every component is selected for quality and durability, so the bike stays fun to ride and beautiful to pass on.
Tricycle
Stage 1
bonob starts here! This stable, confidence-boosting tricycle is designed for little ones who’ve just learned to walk. With its extra-low saddle height and easy handling, it's perfect for exploring the world on three wheels — safely and independently.
Balance Bike
Stage 2
This is the bonob bicycle in its second stage: a lightweight balance bike designed to help your child master balance and coordination with ease.
When your child is ready, convert the bike into a pedal bike (Pedal Bike Conversion Kit to buy).
To keep learning simple, the balance bike comes without a brake — but we highly recommend adding the Brake Kit once your little rider is confident on two wheels. That way, they can learn to brake safely before transitioning to pedaling, mastering one skill at a time.

Pedal Bike
Stage 3
The final stage of bonob bicycle is built for confident little riders ready to pedal into adventure. It comes fully equipped with a hydraulic disc brake for easy and responsive stopping and a maintenance-free drive belt — super light, super smooth, and grease-free. No mess, no fuss, just effortless pedaling with ultra-low resistance.
You can customize your bonob bicycle with Mountain Bike/Gravel tires for off-road fun, perfect for dirt paths and rugged terrain.
The Pedal Bike includes a 19-tooth sprocket for easy riding, but don’t forget to add the Sprockets Kit (17T and 15T) for more speed and fun as your child gains strength and confidence.
