WHO WE ARE
We are bonob®, a Belgian-born idea brought to life by two founders.
JP, an engineer experienced custom framebuilder (VOORDE Cycles) who first designed bonob® for his son Lucas.

And Patrick, a long-time friend with a master in management. He brings valuable experience from both small businesses and international groups. He helped turn this idea into reality—ready to bring joy and movement to kids everywhere.

Together, we’re two parents on a mission: to create smarter, long-lasting products that make early cycling safer, easier and more meaningful. We believe better design can shape better childhoods/cyclists. bonob® is our answer to a challenge many families face: how to keep up with fast-growing kids without wasting resources or compromising on quality?

From our workshop in Belgium, we are building the bike we wish we had when we were learning—something to help kids ride with confidence, right from the start.

Long-lasting design
We have carefully designed bonob® to evolve alongside your child, ensuring years of active use and joy. Using resilient materials and precise engineering, each bike adapts easily through different growth stages. It’s built to be cherished, shared among siblings and passed down—making sustainability an easy part of family life.

Less is more
We’re committed to sustainability from production to packaging. It is important for us to minimize our environmental footprint by choosing local production and eco-friendly partners.

Shaping the Cyclists of tomorrow
At bonob®, we're not just building bikes—we're shaping future cyclists. When a child feels confident and comfortable on their bike, they enjoy it more. That joy grows into a passion for cycling, and that passion becomes a lifelong habit. Our mission is to create bikes that make riding easy, fun, and empowering—because confident little riders become independent and eco-conscious adults. Better bikes today mean better micro-mobility tomorrow.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
We believe in a better future—for our kids and for the planet.
